How to Export TikTok Comments to CSV or Excel
Export TikTok comments from any public video to a CSV or Excel file, with replies, usernames, dates and likes — step by step, no coding.

Reading a few hundred TikTok comments in the app is slow, and you cannot sort, filter or count them there. Once the TikTok comments are in a spreadsheet you can find the questions people keep asking, see which comments got the most likes, and share the list with a colleague. This guide shows how to export TikTok comments from any public video to a spreadsheet without writing any code, using the TikTok comment exporter on tokviewr.com.
What you need
- The link of a public TikTok video. In the app, tap Share → Copy link; on a computer, copy the address from the browser bar. Short links such as
vm.tiktok.com/…work too. - A free TokViewr account to hold your export credits. You never sign in to TikTok itself.
Viewing TikTok comments is free and needs no account at all. An account is only needed for the file, because each exported row uses one credit. New accounts start with 100 credits, valid for 30 days, so a small export costs nothing.
Step 1: Paste the video link
Open tokviewr.com and paste the link into the box at the top, then press the button. The TikTok video opens with its caption, stats and the TikTok comments underneath. A quick human check may appear first; for most people it passes on its own in a second or two.
Step 2: Choose rows, format and replies
Next to the video sits the export card. It has three choices:
- Number of rows: 100, 500, 1,000 or 5,000, or All when the video has fewer than 5,000 comments. One file holds up to 5,000 rows.
- Export as: CSV, or an Excel workbook (.xlsx). Both contain exactly the same rows and cost the same; only the file type differs.
- Include comment replies: off by default. When it is on, each comment is followed by its replies. Replies are ordinary rows, cost one credit each and count toward the row number you chose.
Step 3: Download the file
Press Export comments. TokViewr collects the TikTok comments page by page and your browser downloads the file when it is complete. If anything fails along the way, nothing is charged. If your balance does not cover the rows you picked, a window shows how many rows you have, how many the export needs, and the packs that cover the rest.
What the file contains
Every export has the same columns, in the same order, whether replies are included or not. That keeps saved filters and scripts working from one export to the next.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
comment_id | Unique ID of the comment |
parent_comment_id | Empty for top-level comments; the parent ID for replies |
text | The comment text |
created_at | Posting time in UTC (ISO 8601) |
likes | Like count |
reply_count | Number of replies |
pinned | true if the creator pinned the comment |
user_id, user_handle, user_nickname | Who wrote it |
image_urls | Links for image comments, space-separated |
IDs are written as text, not numbers. A 19-digit comment ID stored as a number would be rounded by Excel, and the ID would no longer match the comment.
Open the TikTok comments in Excel or Google Sheets
- Excel file (.xlsx): double-click it. Turn on Data → Filter to sort by likes or filter by user.
- CSV in Excel: the file is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so emoji and non-English text open correctly in current versions of Excel.
- Google Sheets: choose File → Import → Upload and pick either file.
A few things that work well once you export TikTok comments:
- Sort by
likesto see what the audience agreed with most. - Filter
textfor a question mark to collect the questions people asked. - Filter
parent_comment_idfor empty cells to keep only top-level comments. - Count rows per
user_handleto find the most active commenters.
How many TikTok comments can you export?
One file holds up to 5,000 rows. For a video with more comments, the export contains the first 5,000 in the order TikTok returns them. The export can only include TikTok comments that are shown publicly: comments that were deleted, hidden by the creator or filtered by TikTok are not in the list, so a file can hold fewer rows than the comment count on the video.
What it costs
One credit exports one row. A new account starts with 100 credits. After that, credits come in one-time packs with no subscription:
| Pack | Rows | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 25,000 | $19.99 |
| Standard | 60,000 | $29.99 |
| Business | 200,000 | $59.99 |
Pack credits never expire. Without a pack, the free comment list on the video page shows the first 60 comments; any pack unlocks every page of comment, follower and following lists. See pricing for the details.

Can I export TikTok comments from a private account? No. Only public TikTok comments can be read or exported.
Can I export TikTok comments from several videos? Yes, one video per export. Repeat the steps for each video link.
