How to Read TikTok Comments Without Logging In
Read TikTok comments and replies on any public video in your browser without logging in — why TikTok asks for a login and what you will not see.

Someone sends you a TikTok link, you open it on a computer, and the comment section asks you to log in. The video is public and so are its comments, but the TikTok website shows only a few of them, or none, until you sign in. This guide explains how to read TikTok comments in your browser, the full public comment section, without a TikTok account, using the TikTok comment viewer on tokviewr.com.
Why TikTok asks you to log in
TikTok's website is built to bring visitors into the app. TikTok comments, follower lists and the repost tab are the parts people come back for, so the web version keeps them behind a sign-in prompt. Nothing about public TikTok comments is private: any logged-in user can read them. TokViewr reads the same public data and shows it on a plain web page.
Step 1: Copy the video link
- In the TikTok app: open the video, tap Share, then Copy link.
- On a computer: copy the address from the browser bar.
Short links (vm.tiktok.com/…) and full links (tiktok.com/@user/video/…) both work.
Step 2: Paste it into the comment viewer
Open the TikTok comment viewer, paste the link and press the button. A quick human check may appear first; it usually passes on its own in a second or two.
The video page opens with the player on the left and the comments beside it on a computer, or underneath on a phone.
Step 3: Read TikTok comments and replies
Each comment shows the author's picture and @username, the text, the date and the number of likes. Comments that are only an image show the image. Pinned comments are marked.
When a comment has replies, a View replies link appears under it. Each tap loads the next page of replies, so a long thread opens a part at a time rather than all at once.
Without a pack the free list shows the first 60 TikTok comments of a video. Any one-time pack unlocks every page of comments, followers and following on every account.
What you will not see
- Comments on private accounts' videos: only approved followers can see those.
- Deleted or hidden comments: if the creator removed or filtered a comment, it is gone for everyone.
- Comments TikTok filtered: TikTok hides some comments automatically, for spam or its community guidelines.
That is why the list can be shorter than the comment count under the video.
Is it anonymous?
You are not signed in to TikTok when you read TikTok comments on TokViewr, and TokViewr does not notify the creator or the people who commented. So reading TikTok comments here is not linked to your TikTok profile. It does not make you invisible on the internet in general; it means the creator gets no alert and your own account is not involved.
Save TikTok comments to a spreadsheet
If you need the comments for research, a report or a giveaway draw, the same page has an export card. Sign in to TokViewr and save up to 5,000 comments per file as CSV or Excel, with or without replies, at one credit per row. New accounts start with 100 free credits. The guide How to Export TikTok Comments to CSV or Excel walks through it.
Common questions
Do I need the TikTok app? No. Everything works in a browser on a phone or a computer.
Can I search TikTok comments for a word? On the page, use your browser's find (Ctrl+F or ⌘F). For anything more, export the comments and filter the spreadsheet.
Can I reply or like a comment? No. TokViewr is read-only; to take part in the conversation, open the video in TikTok.
Can I read TikTok comments from a Live? No. Live chat is not saved as video comments, so there is nothing to read after the stream.
